Talk:Cities for Children
From CopperWiki
Hi,
You are confusing me. First you talk about the need for " children to develop their full potential, free from hunger and want, neglect and abuse."
Then you talk about children having the " right to access basic services and enjoy opportunities for development."
The next thing you mention is cities in which children are "able to interact with their society from the beginning."
And finally you talk about child friendly cities which do not exactly delve on allowing children to develop their full potential, free from hunger and want, neglect and abuse or have specific features that ensure that children have right to access basic services and enjoy opportunities for development or facilitate children to "interact with their society from the beginning."
Where is the connection?
I would also like to know how are today's cities child unfriendly? Which cities in the world are most child friendly and how? Have these cities experienced any positive impact of being child friendly?
Raise the debate -- Should a city be disabled friendly, senior citizen friendly, women friendly child friendly or all the above. Which of these should be given the priority and why?
